Nyan Streaming Privacy Policy

Nyan Streaming lets you broadcast and watch video and audio. It uses account details, connection IP addresses and streaming activity. Recordings and file storage are provided through supported features; recordings made to check music use are explained separately.

This policy explains how KuronekoServer handles information in Nyan Streaming broadcasts, viewing and dashboards. See our operator information for our address and responsible operator.

1. Information and purposes

1. Account details: name/display name, email and verification status, image, language, account reference number, external sign-in details, sign-in times, IP addresses and device/browser type. If several people manage the service together, we also handle group names, members, invitations and information about the people managing it. These support sign-in, settings, notifications and abuse prevention. Information from previous sign-in methods may remain.
2. Stream settings: stream keys, external app connection details, viewing passwords, destinations and video, audio or viewing restrictions. We use them to start broadcasts, verify viewers, adjust video/audio and restream to your chosen destinations.
3. Connections and usage: publisher and viewer IP addresses, connection destinations and methods, usage times, traffic, video quality, viewer counts, delays and errors. We use these to deliver streams, manage usage limits, compile statistics and investigate faults or misuse.
4. Media: transmitted video/audio and, where enabled, recordings/uploads with names, sizes, types and playback URLs support streaming, storage, playback and downloads. People who know viewing or public CDN URLs may be able to access the content.
5. Contracts and operations: plans, add-ons, customer/subscription/invoice identifiers, payment status, notifications, audit actors/targets/IPs, violations/actions and inquiry attachments support contracts, billing, limits, notifications, security and rights protection. Payment infrastructure such as Stripe processes payment details; the streaming database does not store full card numbers or security codes.
6. Music use: reporters, organizations, streams, works, artists/rightsholders, work codes, usage dates/counts, review status, necessary administrative recordings and additional royalty calculation/billing/payment records support usage verification, licensing, reporting, billing and objections.

We use KRNK ID for sign-in and receive account information such as user ID, name/display name, email, image and language to recognize your account. Information registered with KRNK ID itself is described in the KRNK ID Privacy Policy.

2. Recordings and music review

User recordings and media storage are available through supported plans and features. Separately, we may record stream video and audio as necessary to identify music, verify usage and investigate rights infringement. Administrative recordings are not for public release or user archives and are handled only by designated staff.

Using music reports submitted through the dashboard and staff review, we may report work titles, authors, artists, usage months/counts and other required details to NexTone. Routine reports do not include recordings themselves. Disclosure of recordings to rights holders is limited to what is necessary with consent or another applicable legal basis.

3. Diagnostics and cookies

To investigate problems and improve quality, we may use Sentry to record errors, performance and dashboard activity such as navigation and clicks. We mask text and input and restrict recording of video, audio and information such as stream keys. These activity records are separate from broadcast recordings. Service access and error records also support operation and troubleshooting.

Cookies and similar storage support sign-in, authentication protection and language preferences. Blocking or deleting site data may prevent sign-in or preference persistence. We do not sell personal information or use collected data for advertising tracking.

4. Retention and deletion

Stream statistics samples are periodically pruned using Free 6 hours, Standard 30 days, Pro 180 days and Enterprise 365 days. These periods apply only to statistics samples, not audit logs, billing or recordings. Scheduling and failures may delay deletion.

Accounts, settings, contracts, audit/error logs, recordings and uploads have no common automatic deletion deadline. User content follows applicable service conditions and deletion actions; other records are kept as needed for service, security, legal duties, accounting and disputes. Music reports and administrative recordings are retained only as reasonably necessary for quarterly reporting and required reconciliation/investigation, then deleted unless a legitimate retention reason remains. Caches, backups and legal holds may have different deletion timing.

5. External services, recipients and overseas processing

We use server and storage providers such as Cloudflare to operate the service and store data, Bunny to store and deliver media, KRNK ID for sign-in, Stripe for payments and Sentry for troubleshooting. Providers receive connection information, stored data, content or payment details as needed for these purposes. Email providers receive recipients and notification content. Restream destinations you choose receive video, audio and information needed to connect.

If you manage the service with others, people managing or belonging to the same group may be shown profiles, settings, usage and content. We engage and supervise processors as necessary. Other disclosures require user instructions, consent or a legally permitted basis. External services may process data outside Japan. Overseas transfers use required disclosures, consent or legally compliant safeguards; beginning use is not blanket consent.

6. Security and choices

We work to prevent leaks and misuse by limiting staff access, checking sign-ins, disabling exposed stream keys and encrypting connections. Some streaming methods may not encrypt communications. Choose a supported secure connection method and protect stream keys, viewing URLs and similar information.

7. Rights, contact and changes

Request disclosure, notification of purposes, third-party provision records, correction, deletion, suspension of use or disclosure at support[at]krnk.org (replace [at] with @). After identity verification, we respond under applicable law and explain any refusal, including retention obligations. Deleting KRNK ID does not automatically delete all service contracts or data. Minors must obtain required guardian consent. Material changes and their application date will be announced, with consent where required.
